Overview

Zycoo IPPBX is built on the Asterisk platform and supports the standard SIP protocol. It can connect to IMS SIP trunks from ITSPs (Internet Telephony Service Providers) as well as SIP endpoints.

This document provides instructions for capturing Caller ID data from analog lines for troubleshooting and analysis purposes.


Capture Caller ID Setup Guide

1. Verify Default Configuration Settings

Before capturing Caller ID data, ensure the analog settings are configured as follows.

Step 1.1: Log in to the IPPBX Web Portal

Log in to the IPPBX web interface using the admin account.

Step 1.2: Navigate to Analog Settings

  1. Navigate to Telephony → Preferences → Analog Settings

Step 1.3: Verify Caller ID Parameters

Ensure the following parameters are set to their default values:

Note: These settings are suitable for most regions. If your local telecommunications standard differs, please adjust the signaling accordingly.




2. Capture Caller ID Data

Step 2.1: Navigate to Channel Diagnostics

  1. Navigate to System → Diagnostic → Channel

Step 2.2: Select the FXO Port

From the dropdown menu, select the FXO channel (e.g., fxo 1 corresponds to Port 1).

Step 2.3: Start Capturing

Click the Start button to begin capturing data on the selected FXO port.

Step 2.4: Trigger an Incoming Call

Place an incoming call to the selected FXO port (Port 1).

Step 2.5: Stop Capturing

After answering the call on your IP phone, click the Stop button.

Step 2.6: Download Captured Data

The system will automatically download the captured packet data. Please save this file and send it to Zycoo Support for analysis if further troubleshooting is required.
