Zycoo IPPBX is built on the Asterisk platform and supports the standard SIP protocol. It can connect to IMS SIP trunks from ITSPs (Internet Telephony Service Providers) as well as SIP endpoints.
This document provides instructions for syncing contacts from the IPPBX via LDAP.
Log in to the IPPBX web interface using the admin account.
Navigate to Telephony → Advanced Features → Phonebook
Configure the following LDAP parameters:
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Username | cn=user,dc=ippbx,dc=com |
| Password | password |
| Directory Node | dc=ippbx,dc=com |
Important Note: If you enable the "Sync Extensions Numbers" option, please do not manually add extension numbers to the phonebook. The extensions will be automatically loaded into the LDAP configuration.
For Zycoo IP phones, configure the LDAP settings according to the parameters provided above.
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Server Address | IP address of the IPPBX |
| Base DN (Directory Node) | dc=ippbx,dc=com |
| Username | cn=user,dc=ippbx,dc=com |
| Password | password |
Note: For other phone brands, the configuration principles remain the same. Please refer to the phone's user manual for specific LDAP configuration instructions. Ensure that the Base DN, Username, and Password fields are correctly entered.
If you wish to show the extension department information in the LDAP directory, please follow these steps:
On the IPPBX, assign a department to each extension number that should display department information.
Navigate back to Telephony → Advanced Features → Phonebook
Disable the LDAP service
Enable the LDAP service again
Trigger a sync data operation
Once the LDAP data has been refreshed, the department information will appear in the LDAP directory if your IP phone supports the LDAP list mode.
